Most jobs that strand a car in Banjul don't actually need a lift. They need a person who knows what they're looking at, standing in front of the car with the right socket in their hand. That's the whole idea behind MuhaBility — we took the useful half of a garage and put it on the road.

What we do

If it's on this list, we can almost certainly do it at your gate. If it isn't, call anyway — a lot of the work is just knowing what the noise means.

Engine & starting problems

Won't turn over, turns over but won't catch, cuts out in traffic, idles rough, overheating on the Kombo stretch. We test spark, fuel and compression on site before we touch anything.

Batteries & charging

Flat battery, dead alternator, corroded terminals, a car that needs a push every morning. We carry charged replacements and test the charging circuit so the new battery isn't a repeat of the old one.

Brakes

Grinding, squealing, a pedal that goes soft or long. Pads, discs, shoes, fluid and bleeding — done in your driveway with the wheels off, not driven across town on a bad caliper.

Tyres & wheels

Punctures, slow leaks, a spare that won't come off, wheel nuts overtightened by the last person who touched them. We plug, swap and torque on the spot.

Diagnostics & warning lights

Check engine light, ABS light, airbag light, a car that's gone into limp mode. We read the fault codes, then explain in plain language what's actually wrong and what it will cost.

Servicing & fluids

Oil and filter, coolant, brake fluid, power steering, belts and hoses. A proper service at your house, with the old parts left out for you to see.

Cooling & overheating

Radiators, water pumps, thermostats, hoses, fans. Overheating is the one that turns a small repair into a new engine — call us the day the gauge moves, not the week after.

Tell us the car — make, model, roughly the year — what it's doing, and where it's parked. A landmark is fine: "behind the mosque in Jabang", "the compound after Dalaba". If it's an emergency, say so and we'll tell you straight whether we can get there today.
We tell you the price before we drive

For common jobs we can quote over the phone. For anything we can't diagnose by description, we'll tell you the call-out and inspection cost up front, and what the likely repair range is. No surprise bill at the end.
We come, we fix, we show you

We arrive with tools and the parts we expect to need. If it turns out to be something else, we'll call you before spending your money. Old parts stay with you. If the job needs a proper workshop, we'll say so rather than pretend.

Where we go

Banjul, Serrekunda and the Kombo coast.

We're based after Dalaba in Jabang, which puts us close to the airport road and within easy reach of most of the built-up area. Regular call-outs include Jabang, Banjulunding, Serrekunda, Kanifing, Bakau, Fajara, Kotu, Kololi, Bijilo, Sukuta, Brufut, Tanji, Brikama and the Banjul–Serrekunda highway.

Further out — Kartong, Sanyang, the North Bank road, Basse — we'll still come, but call first so we can agree a fair price for the distance rather than surprising you with it.
